What is a product profile?
Product profilesare groups of products and services that you can assign to users. In Experience Cloud, permissions are based on a product's profile, not the user. (However, you can delegate administrative rights to specific users).
In Analytics you can e.g. configure a collection of reporting tools, such as Analysis Workspace and Report Builder, along with report packages, metrics, and dimensions. You can authorize a product profile by adding users to the profile.

Delegate controller roles to users
In the administration console, you can delegate limited administrative rights to others in your organization. Delegated roles enable users to manage end-user software access, provide access deployment capabilities, and act as support delegates.
You can, for example:
- Give your creative director permission to grant access to Creative Cloud.
- Give your marketing director permission to provide access to Experience Cloud.
- Keep these two rolls separated so they cannot cross each other's rolls.
By using these roles, you can simultaneously delegate administration to others without giving them more options than they need.
Select in the administration consoleUsersand then select the username.

For example, you can create a product profile that contains several analysis tools (Analysis Workspace, Reports & Analytics, and Report Builder). These profiles include permissions for specific metrics and dimensions (including eVars) and options such as segment creation or calculated metrics.
- Log in toAdministration consoleand then selectProducts.
- On the Products page, select your product and then chooserights(only available to administrators).
- Configure the profile's permissions:
Element | Description |
---|---|
Report suites | Enable permissions for specific report packages. |

Dimensions | Customize user access at a granular level, including eVars, traffic reports, application reports and path reports. |
